Advantages:

  • Price: As you all know gaming mouse can be very expensive, especially if you are looking for wireless connectivity. However, the Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed price is very affordable considering it only cost £59.99. I can guarantee you that there is no wireless gaming mouse out there in the market that can provide the same level of performance and at the same price as this.
  • Performance: In term of Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed performance, you will not notice any difference between this mouse and the Razer Basilisk V2. According to the product specification, Razer Basilisk V2 should be performing better, considering it has both the latest and better sensor. Therefore, Razer Basilisk X Hyperspeed can provide the same level of performance as mice with the latest generation sensor and mice from a higher price range.
  • Wireless Connectivity: Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed comes with dual wireless connectivity which means two wireless connectivity option. The two options are Bluetooth connection and Razer HyperSpeed wireless. The Razer HyperSpeed wireless connection is ideal for gaming as it provides high-speed transmission and low latency. Therefore, you will not experience any lag when using this mouse. Whereas, Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed Bluetooth paring is ideally for users who want to have long battery life.

Disadvantages:

  • Interface: Razer Basilisk X Hyper Speed does come with a dual wireless connection as mentioned previously. However, this mouse does not support a wired connection which means it can be a problem when wireless connect fail. As you all know wireless connection can cause some issues sometimes, therefore it is better to have a wired connection as a backup.
  • Battery: The only drawback regarding the Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed battery is that it uses a single AA battery instead of a rechargeable battery. As most wireless gaming mouse nowadays uses a rechargeable battery so that the user does not have to purchase batteries in the long run.
  • Lighting: Another drawback about this mouse is that it does not have RGB lighting like what you would expect from a gaming mouse.

Overall, I give Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed a 4 out of 5. You would wonder why I gave this mouse a 4 out of 5 even though this mouse has many drawbacks than the mice I reviewed in the past. The main reason is that these drawbacks are not that serious and does not have any major impact on the performance of the mouse. In addition, this mouse has a good value for money considering it able to provides the same performance as mice at a very high price range. As a result, I would recommend this mouse to people who are looking for a wireless gaming mouse that has the best value for money. On the other hand, I would not recommend this mouse for people who like to customise their mouse or looking for RGB lighting.
